Payment

Postnatal care can seem like a lot of money, but it is an investment towards your well-being and enjoyment of this period.

I know how expensive having a child can be. Believe me, we have not had the easiest time with finances. Here are some things you can do to make paying for a postpartum doula easier:

  1. Ask for people to donate what they can to a postpartum doula fund during your baby shower, or even have them forego buying things like toys or blankets that are often given in excess.

  2. Pay with an HSA/FSA. That's right - postpartum doulas can be paid through these accounts!

  3. Get some of the more expensive items secondhand, like a crib, rocking chair, stroller, and even clothes. You can still find nice things for a fraction of the price it would be new!

  4. Ask me about payment plan options. I will even consider bartering or trading services as payment. I am always open to discussing this, as I want you to be able to have the support you need.

  5. Research postpartum doula scholarships

  6. See if those closest to you would consider helping you pay. Especially if your family can't come to physically help, they can rest assured knowing that you are being taken care of.
